When you have finally made the decision to ask her to marry you, then you will need to figure out:
Where will you propose?
What will you say when you propose?
What kind of a ring will you get her?
What will you do to make the proposal memorable, unique and romantic?
When will you propose?
As to the last question, many guys choose New Year’s Eve as a memorable day to “pop the question.” Here are a few ideas for a New Year’s Eve proposal:
1. Before the party with friends, take her to a candlelight dinner at a nearby favorite restaurant. When you exit the restaurant after dinner, have a horse-drawn carriage, with warm blankets to bundle up in, waiting for you at the door to take you to the party. Before you arrive at the party, take out the lighted ring box, show her the diamond ring, and ask her to be your bride forever.
2. Hire a limousine for the night for you and some close friends, and celebrate until midnight hitting the hot dance spots and taking in the sites of the town. Just before midnight, have the driver take you to the place where you first met, the site of your first date, or where you first kissed. Get out of the limo and take her to the exact spot, and on bended knee present the diamond ring, declare your love and ask her to marry you.
3. Plan a catered private party with friends, with a professional DJ and dance floor. Arrange with the DJ to stop the music on your signal and announce that you have a special gift for her and a question to ask. Drop to a knee, have the diamond ring ready, and ask her to marry you.
